I've come across an interesting LJ in the last few days of a Canadian women who has Cystic Fibrosis. You can see her LJ at http://65redroses.livejournal.com/ .
It is a heart warming insight to her struggle to live day to day while waiting for a live saving transplant. After looking at the site http://www.65redroses.com/ it was amazing to read that in British Columbia, Canada that they have lowest donor rate in the country, so come on people get on the register, not just there but throughout the world and give people like Eva a 2nd chance at life. :)

Well what to write about Blog Action Day then, I wonder. Well it's a day for bloggers to show their support for Earth Hour and the planet by blogging. :)
Ok enough of the Earth Hour and Blog Action Day. - LoL ;D
Just about all my builds are on hold until the new year, ecxept for the Sun, Moon & Earth Orbiter, which I can do in my bedroom.
Photo updates are on my Photobucket account as usual. :)
I will hopefully be doing the San Juan by Occre next year with the Canberra Model Shipwrights Society.

The trip to Sydney went well, went to the Sydney Aquariaum Darling Harbour, Sydney Wildlife world, Australian National Maritime Museum - Darling Harbour Sydney and the Boat Show.
But then came the time to get the airport shuttle back to the airport for the flight home, problem was the idiots didn't show up and couldn't be bothered as they said I hadn't phoned them 24 hours, (WTF!!!!!) in advance to confirm the trip. WHAT THE HELLL!!!!!!!! They had the departure time of the flight on their computer and they do the pickup 2 hours before that and they need you to ring up and confirm it when it's already been paid for and confirmed before that time!!!!!!!! Never using Airport Connect again, specially as they totally denied all knowledge of the booking when I rang them and I advise others to do the same. Jetbus are far better and they plant trees to help the environment.
I stayed at the Hotel Ibis Darling Harbour a very nice and comfortable 3 star hotel with nice rooms and very tasty meals, even the price wasn't too bad. I give them 5 stars. I will most definitely stay with them again. :)

The Global Climate Change Conference is in Copenhagen 2009 in about 140 days or so.
More about it at the wiki page
Just hope there will be more than just talk happening after this one and we can get on with developing new and sustainable energy system, such as hydro, wind, solar and geothermal.

Something I started in January and got stuck with.
2008 is gone, 2009 is new.
Let the old rest in peace
and begin again with the new.
*******
Let your Sorrows and Trevails
of the past be gone. Begin
anew with the power of 1.

I am now building the 1/200 scale KMS Bismarck, 1/100 scale Bluenose, 1/720 scale Admiral Graf Spee and the 1/350 IJN Yamato. I still want to get a lot more, but I'm running of space to store them. :(
Think I can fit a few more shelves in my bedroom, but not too many though and defiantly not 1 big enough for the Victory Models HMS Vanguard and the Caldercraft HMS Victory.
I also want to do the Victory Models HM Granado, Victory Models HMS Fly and the Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon.
One day they will get built, well should be able to it, specially as I have about 60 years or so, before I leave this world in a blinding blaze of glory. ;D

Well I survived earth hour. I not only turned off my lights, but I turned off the aircon and the computers as well for 1 hour. :) We all can do our bit too save energy, like turning the computer off, not just going to sleep mode. About time ALL new buildings had solar power panels added to the roof as standard during building!!! I hope to have a solar farm and wind turbine on the 15 acre block of land, I want.
Now if I could just afford it. :(

Hi everyone.
I'm now on DSP, (Disability Support Pension) at long last and all is going well. I'm getting $568.10 every 2 weeks. A much better amount than the newstart amout of $439.10.
Surviving summer with the aircon, well just surviving anyway. - LoL ;D
Bismarck and Bluenose are going very slowly due to the extreme heat here being experienced here in Aus. Bought another model ship book from Amazon, Ship Modeling Solutions. Will be very useful for work on Bismarck and any other warships I build. I am fully intening to build the HMS Fly, HMS Vanguard and the HMS Victory before I head for the great shipyard in the sky. I have 60 years or so to do it, so think I have plenty of time to build them and any others I want.. :)

Yes Everyone I have won "Best International Member Of The year Award" on the UK Build the Bismarck Forum. A big thankyou to the members that voted for me. Prize is still being worked out. :)
Models are progressing slowly with the 2nd layer hull planking having now been completed on Bismarck. I'm now chugging through the brass parts on Bismarck.
Bluenose is getting there steadily, Have some of the superstructure glued on now.
Finally the Flying Scotsman, think they could have supplied 2 wheels >:(
I am now no longer with Advance Personnel, now just waiting for the Disability Support Pension to come through.

I ordered some dvd's from the UK and they have finally arrived, both about trains. What else!!! LoL :) 1 is about the Swanage Railway and the other is about the West Country Branch Lines. Both are very interesting and providing lots of informnation on the railways and ideas for modelling.
The Swanage Railway dvd was ordered from video125 and the West Country Branch Lines came from Model Rail.
